Hard Fescue

Hard Fescue is a high quality, low growing turf grass. It establishes a dense root system and dark green color. Characteristic in sites where low maintenance, drought resistance, and shade tolerance are desired, Hard Fescue can be planted as a stand alone variety or incorporated into a diversified seed mix.

Germination rates for Hard Fescue are slower than other turf varieties. To help protect the seed bed and speed up turf establishment, consider sowing in a mix with Perennial Ryegrass or Annual Ryegrass.

Hard Fescue grows more slowly and lower than other grass species. It can help to reduce mowing frequency, saving time, energy and fuel consumption.
