Pasture & Vineyard- Blueberry Cover Crop Mixes

Hayseed Forager: is an excellent mix for making grass hay for livestock. Using very palatable grasses that work well for pastures, but make very nutritious value dry matter for feed. This mix produces forage that has a faster cure time and can tolerate herbicide applications for broadleaf control and has the durability for grazing. Yields will vary based on the moisture and fertility of the soil.

Ingredients: Orchardgrass, Timothy, Tall Fescue, Tetraploide Perennial Ryegrass, Tetraploid Annual Ryegrass

Hay Seed High Tread: is a mix of grasses that are not quite as palatable as the Forager mix, but will produce equivalent yields. It is much more durable for a pasture mix and can tolerate higher traffic and grazing with less damage. This mix will tolerate broadleaf herbicide control also.

Ingredients: Forage Tall Fescue, Orchardgrass, Tetraploid Perennial Ryegrass, Tetraploid Annual Ryegrass, California Brome

Hay Seed Pasture King: is a unique, balanced mix of palatable forage seeds that provide maximum nutrients for your livestock while building the fertility of your soils in your pastures. This mixture of forages requires more maintenance, but provides valuable, balanced feed for your grazing livestock. It is best used for grazing and could be difficult to harvest for hay due to the high moisture content. In some areas it could require irrigation for optimum performance, but is more self sustaining for fertility.

3-Way Orchard Blend: gives you the best quality in orchard grasses, giving you early to late maturing varieties that provide longer grazing periods, better adaptability and higher yielding forage where strait orchard grass is preferred.

Blueberry Trail Mix : offers a combination of legumes and grasses that help build your soils while protecting your soil between the rows. This combination creates better habitat for keeping bees closer for pollination. We use a low growing grass with good root structure that is not aggressive which helps protect your pathways for higher traffic.

Ingredients: Hairy Vetch, Red Clover, Velvet Bentgrass, White Dutch Clover, Crimson Clover, Sub Clover

Height: 24 - 30" Can be mowed an maintained at 4 - 12"

Seeding Rate: 10-15 Pounds Per acre (minimum order of 250 pounds)

Vineyard& Berry Mix: provides excellent coverage between the rows for vineyards, berry yards and young orchards. Using this combination provides nutrients for your plants and soils while giving you the flexibility of protecting your soils and avoiding mud and rutting. Using low growing grasses with legumes gives you that added protection with lower maintenance, better weed control and less disease.

Ingredients: Sheep Fescue, Hard Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass, Velvet Bentgrass, White Clover, Crimson Clover, Sub Clover

Height: 24 - 30" If mowed and maintained can be 8 - 12"

Seeding Rate: 10-15 Pounds per acre (minimum order 250 pounds)

Cascade Supreme Mix: adds wildflower to the mix to keep your fields unique by adding color and beauty while attracting beneficial insects in the same process. It produces color white while using low growing grasses & forbs.

Ingredients: Sheep Fescue, Hard Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass, Velvet Bentgrass, White Dutch Clover, Crimson Clover, Sub Clover, Yarrow, California Poppy, Alyssum Carpet of Snow

Height: 24 - 30" Can be mowed and maintained at 4 - 12"

Seeding Rate: approx. 15-20 pounds per acre (minimum order 250 pounds)
